India sends 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Palestine amid Middle East conflict

India has taken a significant step to support Palestine amid the ongoing Middle East conflict, sending an initial shipment of 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid.

The consignment includes essential items such as medicines, surgical supplies, dental products, general medical supplies, and high-energy biscuits.

These supplies will be distributed through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, shared the news on X, stating, "India sends humanitarian assistance for the people of Palestine through UNRWA." He added, "The first tranche of assistance, comprising 30 tonnes of medicine and food items, has departed today."

This comes as the World Food Programme recently warned of depleting food supplies in northern Gaza.
