Studio Ghibli wins first 'collective' Palme d'Or at Cannes

Legendary Japanese animators Studio Ghibli became the first collective body, rather than an individual, to receive an honorary Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday.

The Japanese production house was celebrated for its pioneering contributions to the world of animated cinema.

The Oscar-winning studio, founded 40 years ago, is known for masterpieces like ‘My Neighbor Totoro’, ‘Spirited Away’ and ‘Howl's Moving Castle’.
