Hezbollah fires rockets at Israeli military bases ahead of Blinken's ceasefire talks

Hezbollah launched multiple rocket strikes early Tuesday, targeting two key Israeli military bases near Tel Aviv and a naval base west of Haifa, just ahead of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's arrival in Israel for renewed ceasefire negotiations.

The conflict, part of the broader Gaza war and Hezbollah’s escalating confrontation with Israel has intensified in recent weeks following a year of sporadic exchanges along Lebanon's southern border. Hezbollah stated it targeted the Glilot base, used by Israel’s Unit 8200 military Intelligence, and the Nirit area near Tel Aviv, as well as a naval base outside Haifa.

Israeli authorities confirmed air sirens were activated southeast of Tel Aviv, indicating a projectile from Lebanon had landed in an open area. There were no immediate reports of casualties from the attacks.
