Kamaal Farooqui rejoins Congress ahead of Maharashtra polls
Veteran politician Kamaal Farooqui rejoined the Congress on Monday after nearly two decades, accompanied by his son, Umar Kamaal Farooqui.
Kamaal Farooqui previously served as the chairman of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (Minority) and was a member the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
“The only party that can truly lead and reinstate the spirit of our country is the Congress,” he said.
