Israel destroying north Gaza through death and displacement: UN

The UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) says it is concerned Israel “may be causing the destruction of the Palestinian population in Gaza’s northernmost governorate through death and displacement”.
The organisation said it is particularly the case around Jabalya, Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, where over 87 Palestinians were killed or are missing after an Israeli attack that levelled an entire residential block. “While the Israeli military has demanded that all civilians leave north Gaza, it has continued to relentlessly bomb and attack the area, especially in and around Jabalya Camp. These attacks have made it extremely dangerous for civilians to flee,” the UN Human Rights Office added, saying it has received reports over the last weeks of Palestinians being targeted while fleeing.
