Parliament's Winter Session to start on November 25
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju announced that Parliament's Winter Session will start from November 25. The session will continue upto December 20.
On November 26, Constitution Day, the 75th anniversary of its adoption will be marked with an event in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sada, Rijiju shared on social media. Reports indicate that during the Winter session, the government is set to prioritise contentious legislation, including the One Nation, One Election proposal and the Waqf Bill.
Opposition parties have voiced strong resistance to the proposal for simultaneous Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections.
