Three workers killed in collapse at Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project site
Three workers lost their lives, and one was rescued after concrete blocks collapsed at the construction site of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) in Rajupura village near Vasad, Anand district, on Tuesday.
The collapse occurred around 5 pm when a temporary steel and concrete structure, used for well foundation work, gave way, trapping four workers beneath. Local fire and police teams responded immediately, rescuing two workers and retrieving one body.
Anand District Superintendent of Police GG Jasani noted that the incident took place on the Mahi riverbed.
