NCB busts meth lab tied to Mexican cartel near Delhi
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Tuesday that it has dismantled a secret methamphetamine lab operated by Indian nationals with ties to the Mexican drug cartel Cartel De Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG).
According to NCB officials, the lab was located in an industrial area in Gautam Budh Nagar near Delhi.
NCB Deputy Director General Gyaneshwar Singh said that among those arrested are a Mumbai-based chemist and a Tihar jail warden. Authorities are also searching for a Mexican national linked to CJNG, who was reportedly residing in Delhi and brought in to test the drug's purity.
